POLICE have not ruled out gang involvement in the early morning shooting and stabbing of a man at Nusari Biz Sendayan on 19 November, with four local men arrested in connection with the case.
Negeri Sembilan Police Chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad confirmed that the suspects, aged between their 30s and 40s, were detained on 21 and 22 November.
“All four remain in remand. The first two suspects’ remand ends today and will be extended to continue investigations, while the other two are remanded until 28 November,” he said during a press briefing following the launch of the Madani Police Adopted Village programme at Kampung Parit Seberang.
Alzafny noted that police have recorded statements from ten witnesses and are actively pursuing other suspects. While the precise motive remains under investigation, he highlighted that all four detainees have prior criminal records involving violent crime, robbery, and drugs.
“If we look at the victim, he also has an extensive criminal record. It is likely this incident stems from gang activity or involvement with criminal groups,” he explained.
Addressing whether the victim and suspects had prior connections, the police chief confirmed that both parties had been involved in robbery cases in Negeri Sembilan and the Klang Valley.
He urged additional witnesses to come forward to assist the investigation.
Alzafny also sought to reassure the public, countering claims that the state is unsafe. “According to crime index records from January to October this year, there has been a reduction in criminal activity.
For instance, property crimes recorded 1,402 cases, a decrease compared to the same period last year. Violent crimes fell from 383 cases in 2024 to 307 cases in 2025,” he said.
The police chief’s comments come as authorities continue to probe the circumstances surrounding the attack, stressing that the investigation remains ongoing. - November 26, 2025
