Garmin Malaysia has introduced the latest tactix 8 – Cerakote Edition tactical smartwatch, crafted for tough environments with a unique and durable finish.
For starters, the tactix 8 – Cerakote Edition features a ceramic-polymer Cerakote coating known for its strong resistance to abrasion, corrosion, and chemicals. Applied by spraying and heat-curing, the coating gives each smartwatch a distinctive finish that develops more character with wear.
The smartwatch also packs a 1.4-inch AMOLED display, titanium bezel, sapphire lens, and a built-in LED flashlight for low-light conditions, alongside up to 29 days of battery life in smartwatch mode. Housed in a 51mm case, it is available in slate gray or olive drab Cerakote finishes.
Similar to the standard tactix 8, the Cerakote Edition comes equipped with Garmin’s full range of tactical, performance, navigation, and connectivity features.
Tactical tools include rucking and jumpmaster modes, dual-coordinate GPS display, Stealth Mode, night vision compatibility, and an Applied Ballistics Ultralight solver for precision shooting.
For performance, it supports scuba and apnea diving up to 40 meters, structured training plans, real-time stamina tracking, and round-the-clock health monitoring.
Plus, navigation features cover detailed TopoActive maps, global golf and ski maps, aviation navigation tools, and multi-band GPS with SatIQ for accurate positioning. When paired with a smartphone, users can also make calls, receive notifications, and use Garmin Pay for contactless payments directly from the wrist.
Pricing and Availability
The new Garmin tactix 8 – Cerakote Edition smartwatch will be available for purchase in Malaysia starting 3 February 2026 at a price of RM7,099.
