MUAR: Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (Muda) president Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman is leading the race in Muar.

Saddiq is a one-term Muar incumbent and had held the post of Youth and Sports Minister.

BN candidate Helmy Abd Latif and Perikatan Nasional’s Abdullah Husin are in a three-cornered contest for the seat with Saddiq.In GE14, Syed Saddiq who was the PH candidate from Bersatu defeated the incumbent Muar parliamentary seat Datuk Seri Razali Ibrahim (BN) and Abdul Aziz Talib (PAS) with a majority of 6,953 votes.
