GE15: Dr Mahathir loses Langkawi with 15,318 majority

SHAH ALAM – Langkawi candidate Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad loses Langkawi to Perikatan Nasional’s Suhaimi Abdullah with a majority of 15,318.

In the official result revealed by the Election Commission (EC), the incumbent Langkawi MP only received a total of 4,566 votes in the 15th General Election (GE15).

Suhaimi garnered 25,463 votes while Barisan Nasional Armishah Siraj garnered 11,945, Pakatan Harapan Zabidi Yahya (5,417) and independent candidate Abd Kadir Sainuddin garnered 89 votes.
