PUTRAJAYA - Caretaker Senior Minister (Education) Dr Mohd Radzi Jidin will represent Perikatan Nasional (PN) in contesting for the Putrajaya parliamentary constituency in the coming 15th General Election (GE15).
Radzi's candidacy was announced by PN chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin after officiating the 'Jelajah Prihatin' event, here tonight.
Muhyiddin's announcement had inadvertently confirmed talk of Radzi eyeing Putrajaya in GE15, early this month.
"We announced his candidacy early because we want him to start his work," said Muhyiddin.
"I don't know who wants to compete here but I want to give some advice to my friend Ku Nan (Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor).
"Indeed, Ku Nan has done something in Putrajaya but now is the time for us to change and that change will be done by PN under Radzi," Muhyiddin added.
In GE14, Radzi contested the Ketereh parliamentary seat but lost to Umno's Tan Sri Annuar Musa before being appointed as Senator on July 17, 2018.
