Kota Kinabalu: Kapayan Assemblywoman Jannie Lasimbang said a gender inclusiveness policy needs to be implemented to end discrimination against women.

“Like in many countries, women in Sabah face various challenges and issues that impact their well-being and equality. Key issues include gender discrimination, violence against women, and unequal access to economic opportunities,” she said in a statement, here, Thursday.

She said despite progress in recent years, gender discrimination persists in various aspects of life, affecting women’s career advancement, economic empowerment, and access to education.
