PROPERTY developer Global-Estate Resorts Inc. (GERI) on Friday said is ramping up expansion outside Metro Manila with the scheduled turnover of P11 billion worth of residential and commercial projects this year.
The Megaworld Corp. subsidiary said takeup for the projects — located across Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Aklan — reflected sustained demand for integrated township developments in provincial growth areas.
Among those lined up for turnover are residential units at The Lindgren in Arden Botanical Estate in Cavite, housing units at The Hamptons Terraces in Laguna, residential lots at Eastland Heights in Antipolo, condominium units at Twin Lakes in Batangas, and residential units in Boracay Newcoast in Aklan.
GERI President Monica Salomon said demand for residential and commercial properties in provincial developments remained strong as buyers were continuing to look beyond Metro Manila for investment and lifestyle opportunities.
“There remains a strong demand for residential developments and commercial spaces from our developments in key growth areas outside Metro Manila,” she added.
Salomon sad the company was aiming to capitalize on the rising provincial property market by developing integrated communities that combine tourism, lifestyle and commercial components.
GERI’s portfolio includes 12 tourism estates and integrated lifestyle communities nationwide covering more than 4,100 hectares.
Its largest development is the 1,200-hectare Twin Lakes township in Batangas, followed by the 690-hectare Eastland Heights in Rizal and the 561-hectare Southwoods City.
Other developments include Boracay Newcoast in Aklan, Arden Botanical Estate in Cavite, The Hamptons Caliraya in Laguna, and The Upper Central in Cagayan de Oro.
GERI’s share price closed unchanged at P0.67 on Friday.
