- German official Daniel Siebert has been appointed by the Uefa Referees Committee to officiate the Champions League final between Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal on Saturday, 30 May, at the Puskas Arena in Budapest.
- Siebert possesses 11 years of experience, having overseen nine Uefa Champions League matches this season, including two involving Arsenal, both of which the Gunners won 1-0 against Sporting Lisbon and Atletico Madrid, respectively.
- Notably, Siebert has not shown a single yellow card to an Arsenal player across the two matches he has officiated for them this season, while he issued four yellow cards in the one PSG match he oversaw, a goalless draw against Athletic Bilbao.
- His average disciplinary record in the Champions League this term includes 4.44 yellow cards and 0.22 red cards per game, which is higher than his Bundesliga average.
- Further experience for the 42-year-old includes officiating a Uefa Europa League semi-final last year, as well as games at Uefa Euro 2024 and Uefa Euro 2020.
