Germany's World Cup centre backs Jonathan Tah and Nico Schlotterbeck believe Manuel Neuer's return in goal will be a big fillip to the squad.
The Bayern Munich goalkeeper has come out of international retirement for the tournament in North America June 11-July 19 but will miss the first warm-up against Finland on Sunday due to a minor calf issue.
"I'm not a striker myself but I know from many who shoot at goal more often than I do that you definitely think, 'Oh, that's Manuel Neuer, I have to concentrate in a special way now or it will be especially hard to score a goal somehow'," Tah told reporters on Thursday at Germany's training camp in Bavaria.
Borussia Dortmund's Schlotterbeck is certain that Germany's chances at the expanded tournament will rise with the 2014 World Cup winner on board.
"He is probably the best keeper in the world of all time," the defender said.
