Germany will face Paraguay in the World Cup last 32 on Monday.
Germany had already qualified to the knock-out stage as Group E winners after the first two matches. But their last 32 opponent was only confirmed on Friday after Spain beat Uruguay 1-0.
Paraguay advanced as one of the best third-placed teams, but due to the complex new format, there were a total of 495 possible scenarios for the seeding of the best eight third-placed nations.
The winner of the match-up between Germany and Paraguay will face either France or Sweden in the last 16.
Germany last faced Paraguay in a World Cup in Japan in 2002. The Germans won the last 16 match 1-0 thanks to Oliver Neuville's late goal.
Germany reached the final that year but were defeated 2-0 by Brazil.
Spain's win and Cape Verde's goalless draw with Saudi Arabia on Friday also confirmed knock-out spots for Egypt, England, Ghana and Portugal.
