Barangay Ginebra defeated Blackwater, 101-96, to grab the last PBA Season 50 Governors’ Cup quarterfinals ticket on Friday night at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City.
American import Jordan Murphy fired 22 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead Ginebra, which closed the elimination round with a 5-5 win-loss record.
The Bossing ended their conference campaign with a 3-7 card and will miss the playoffs.
Troy Rosario added 17 points, RJ Abarrientos 14, Jeremiah Gray 11, while Scottie Thompson and Japeth Aguilar scored 10 each.
Kentrell Barkley and Sedrick Barefield led Blackwater with 16 and 12 points, respectively.
