Gini Wijnaldum has been named new captain of Al Ettifaq.
The Holland midfielder succeeds former Liverpool teammate Jordan Henderson, who left for Ajax last week.
Wijnaldum joined Al-Ettifaq last summer from PSG.
The Rotterdam-born midfielder is an undisputed first-choice for coach Steven Gerrard and has six goals and three assists after sixteen games.
Wijnaldum also wore the captain's armband in the match against Al-Fayha (0-0) in the absence of Henderson.
