Gisele Bündchen says having a baby at 44 was a 'gift'

Gisele Bündchen loved having a baby aged 44 because she didn't have “anything to prove” to anyone else.
The supermodel, who is now 46, became a mother-of-three when she welcomed a baby boy in February 2025 - with the tot joining Gisele’s older children Benjamin, 16, and Vivian, 13.
Gisele opened up about experiencing motherhood later in life during an interview with i-D 377, as she said: “Having a baby at this moment of my life is such a gift, because I’m in a different place.
“Kids give us this opportunity to live again, to be more present and to experience life again. To do it maybe differently than we’ve done it before. I don’t know. I find every little thing so amazing.
“I don’t have anything to prove. I don’t feel like I really, quite frankly, care. I’m not defined by other people’s opinions. I feel like I get to choose how I want to live my life.”
The famous face shares her youngest, whose name has never been publicly revealed, with husband Joaquin Valente, while Benjamin and Vivian’s father is Gisele’s ex-husband Tom Brady.
And having three children while also maintaining a successful modelling career herself means that life is a juggling act.
She said: “I say no to 99 per cent of the jobs I’m offered because, when I put it on the scale, I’m like, ‘Am I going to miss my daughter’s volleyball game? Am I going to miss going to the park with my son? Am I going to miss my son DJing?’”
Gisele also works hard to ensure she has time to follow her strict exercise regime.
She told the publication: “I do weights three times a week. I do Pilates once or twice a week. I do yoga two or three times a week.
“I work out every day because, for me, working out – I don’t see it as something I have to do. I see it as something I get to do. It doesn’t matter if I’m surfing, if I’m playing volleyball with my daughter, if I’m paddleboarding.
“Whatever it is, I feel like it’s a moment of being.”
