
KOTA BELUD: The Semarak Siswa Madani Programme, held for the first time in Sabah involving KPT, UMS and UITM, hopes to continue giving opportunity to students who want to continue their studies to a higher level.
Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Datuk Mohammad Yusof Apdal, said parents need to give their children full enthusiasm and confidence in order for them to excel in their studies so that the country’s independence can be perfectly fulfilled.
Citing himself an example, he said his parents used to emphasise on education at school with less infrastructure compared to present days, nevertheless, with his burning desire to be a successful person he made it.
“At this present time, all you need is at your fingertips. Likewise, if you want to obtain information about what to study at higher learning institutions,” he said this in Kota Belud.
