Glazer brothers Joel and Avram are confident keeping hold of Manchester United.

With the likes of Elliott Management and Carlyle Group in talks about buying a significant minority stake, the Glazers are becoming more and more enthusiastic about maintaining control of the club.

ESPN says the brothers favour this option over an outright sale.

The plan being their other four siblings Bryan, Kevin, Edward and Darcie would sell their respective stakes to the chosen financial firm.

The brothers believe United's value can almost double to 10billion in the coming years due to expected increases in broadcast revenue and streaming opportunities.

The Glazers had announced back in November that they would consider "all strategic alternatives, including new investment into the club, a sale, or other transactions".

Offers from Sheikh Jassim, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Thomas Zilliacus remain on the table.
