Joel and Avram Glazer sees themselves in control of Manchester United for the next decade.
An offer to buy a minority stake from the Carlyle Group has arrived and the Glazer brothers are ready to accept.
The plan is for their siblings to cash in their allotted stakes to Carlyle and leave Joel and Avram as controlling shareholders.
Thus it will leave the brothers with a plan to run the club for the next ten years.
United announced last week that a a third round of bidding was open until the end of the month, with Sheikh Jassim, Thomas Zilliacus and Sir Jim Ratcliffe all having made offers.
But their dreams could be dashed following the Glazers' talks with Carlyle over a minority stake.
