Manchester United youngster Max Taylor has opened up regarding his battle with testicular cancer.

The teenager was going through chemotherapy 12 months ago, but battled to overcome the disease.

He is now in the United squad for their Europa League game against Astana tomorrow.

It is a remarkable story for the 19-year-old who was fighting for his life not too long ago.

But he does not want cancer to define his life and career.

"I always had a mindset of that there's no way I'm not going to be alive after this," Taylor told the PA news agency.

"But there were times where I thought 'will I be able to play football after this?' And there were times where I thought there's no way I can get back to that.

"But I think the message that I want to get out to everyone is it is possible - and it is possible to do more than what I've done after you've gone through such trauma.

"It is possible to get back wherever you want to go."
