“My heart really went out to him seeing how tired he looked, waiting for customers to come and buy his food.

“Uncle, go home and get some rest. I bought all of your food, your nasi lemak. I hope you’re always healthy and blessed with abundant sustenance.

The clip has since gone viral, with many Malaysian netizens praising the man for his generosity and compassion.

Several commenters revealed that the uncle is a familiar face in the area and has been selling traditional kuih and nasi lemak there for some time.

“This uncle’s kuih talam is really delicious. His curry puffs are good too, big ones. I rarely buy his nasi lemak because I usually get it from the stall next to 7-Eleven. But his nasi lemak is very affordable, only RM2 – RM3,” commented @sya_hassan.

One user commented that elderly people “should really be resting instead.”
