Goat-gobbling python captured after 25 minutes

KODIANG - Kubang Pasu Civil Defence Force (APM) successfully captured a reticulated python at Batu 7 of Kampung Guar Batu Hitam today after 25 minutes.

Its captain (PA) Mohd Adenin Suhaimi said that the mission came about as the team Operations Control Centre (PKOD) received a call at 8.23am from an individual who found the reptile in a goat shed.

He said that four personnel were deployed to the scene where the predator had swallowed a goat.

"The approximately 140 kilogramme (kg) and seven metre (m) reticulated python was in the goat shed nearby residents' houses.

"Hence, Kubang Pasu APM personnel immediately captured the snake to be brought back to Kubang Pasu PKOD," he said in a statement today

Adenin said the captured animal was later handed over to the Wildlife Protection and National Parks Department (Perhilitan).
