- Olga Adcock learned that her missing 16-year-old son, Benjamin Adcock, was found alive during a live police press conference in Florida. The teenager had been missing for nearly two days prior to being located on Sept. 14.
- A crowd member interrupted the live broadcast to announce to his mother and officers that the boy had been found.
- “They found him,” a woman could be heard saying from the audience. “Oh my goodness gracious. Okay,” Sheriff Robert A. Hardwick replied, turning to hug Benjamin’s mother.
- “Praise the Lord on my soul,” Adcock said as she hugged Hardwick back. “Wow. There is light at the end of the tunnel. God is good. God is good.”
- A good Samaritan recognized Benjamin from photos shared on social media and located the teen.
