General Operations Force arrests 15 Myanmar nationals without valid documents in a Kota Bharu house raid under the Immigration Act.

KOTA BHARU: The General Operations Force (GOF) detained 15 illegal immigrants from Myanmar in a raid on a house in Jalan Pasir Mas Salor, Kampung Kota, early today.

Southeast Brigade GOF Commander, SAC Ahmad Radzi Hussain, said the arrests were made at 4 am by a team from the 7th Battalion through Op Taring Wawasan Kelantan.

Acting on information, the police raided a house and arrested the foreign nationals, comprising 13 men and two women aged between 19 and 37.

“All of them failed to produce valid travel documents,” he said in a statement.

Ahmad Radzi said the foreigners were referred to the Criminal Investigation Division of the Kota Bharu District Police Headquarters for further action.

The case is being investigated under Section 6(1)(c) of the Immigration Act 1959/63.

He also called on the public to provide information to the authorities regarding any smuggling activities in their respective areas.
