Fans have a lot to be excited about, thanks to the impressive list of upcoming K-dramas set to arrive on Disney Plus in 2026.
Leading our list is season 2 of A Shop for Killers, a much-awaited continuation of the critically acclaimed action thriller K-drama. For context, its first season premiered in 2024 and quickly became the most-viewed local original on Disney Plus in the Asia Pacific region.
Teasing the upcoming season at a press conference, lead actor Lee Dong-wook shared, “I thought it (season 1) might do fairly well, but I didn’t expect it to become this successful. I’m very grateful that it did so well. We are now doing a second season. Jin Man’s mystery continues into season 2. The action will be even more intense and on a much larger scale than before.”
Meanwhile, Perfect Crown brings together popular Korean actors IU and Byeon Woo-seok in a romance shrouded by royal intrigue. Directed by Park Joon-hwa, the series follows an heiress who enters a contractual marriage with a prince.
Additionally, one of the most-anticipated Disney Plus K-dramas of 2026 is The Remarried Empress, an adaptation of the romance web novel Jaehon Hwanghu by Alphatart. Starring Ju Ji-hoon, Lee Jong-suk and Shin Min-ah, the show will follow Empress Navier as she confronts heartbreak and betrayal, and demands a rightful remarriage. The original web novel was released on Naver Series and Web Novel in November 2018 and was later adapted into a webtoon, an audio drama and a video game.
