Sergio Gomez admits he's happy being Manchester City teammates with Phil Foden.
Gomez was asked at today's Champions League pressure what he remembers about Foden from his youth days.
The pair emerged at the same time - and played against each other in the 2017 Under-17 World Cup final in India.
Spain led 2-0 thanks to two Gomez goals but Foden also scored twice as England came back to win 5-2 and clinch the trophy.
"I played Foden many times in the past," said Gomez, a former Barcelona youth player, who joined Borussia Dortmund when he was 17.
"We had to suffer him in that Under 17 final. Sometimes we chat about previous confrontations.
"He played great in that final and England deserved to win."
