Govt considering flight ticket subsidies for Sabah, S'wak students

SHAH ALAM - The government is considering a suggestion to provide flight ticket subsidies for Sabah and Sarawak students.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the government understands the high costs students bear, especially those wanting to return home.

"We may have to negotiate with the airline regarding this matter, this could be considered to be given annually," he said.

Anwar was speaking during dialogue session with the Universiti Teknologi Student Representative Council, here, on Friday.
