KUALA LUMPUR - The government is ready to release the final report of the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) on Tabung Haji (TH) soon, said Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
The Prime Minister said he would consult Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar on whether the report needed to be referred to the Cabinet first.
"If it is not necessary, I will release it today. If it is, I will wait until Wednesday because the people have the right to know," he told reporters after launching the Humane Economy Global Discourse (HEGD) 2026 here today.
Anwar said the decision to release the report took into account Tabung Haji’s progress in its recovery efforts, as well as the public’s right to know the findings of the inquiry. - BERNAMA
