According to a viral video shared by Rakyat E-Hailing MY on Facebook, the drama began when a male passenger attempted to pay for a RM7 fare using a RM50 note. However, the e-hailing driver reportedly told him he did not have enough small change to return the RM43 balance.

The driver explained that most passengers usually pay using smaller notes such as RM10 or RM20.

“If you don’t want to pay, I’ll just file a complaint”

The situation quickly became tense after the passenger allegedly became upset and refused to pay the fare.

The driver then reportedly responded calmly, saying he would simply file a complaint with Grab if the passenger chose not to pay.

However, the passenger allegedly took offence at the remark and insisted it was the driver’s responsibility to prepare enough change for customers.
