If you’re gearing up for Green Day’s debut concert in KL at the Bukit Jalil National Hockey Stadium, this guide has all the essential details you need. From transport tips and venue insights to setlist expectations and packing dos and don’ts, we’ve got you covered for an epic night.
For millennials who lived through the 2000s and early 2010s, Green Day’s music was a defining soundtrack. The Grammy-winning, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame-inducted band is finally making its Malaysian debut as part of ‘The Saviors Tour.’ The tour, which began in May 2024 in Spain, has since travelled across Europe, hitting major cities like Paris and Milan before culminating in a London show at Wembley Stadium.
Following the European leg, the tour moved through North America, starting in Washington, D.C., and wrapping up in San Diego in late September. Now in Asia, Green Day has already performed in Macau, Bangkok, and Jakarta, with KL, Osaka, and Nagoya up next.

Located within Kuala Lumpur Sports City, the Bukit Jalil National Hockey Stadium has hosted global superstars like Imagine Dragons, 2NE1, and Maroon 5. The best way to reach the venue? Public transport—it’s the easiest way to dodge heavy concert traffic.
Your best bet is the LRT. Hop on the Kelana Jaya line, switch to the Sri Petaling line at Masjid Jamek, and head towards Putra Heights. Get off at Bukit Jalil station, and you’re just a four-minute walk from the stadium. Extended LRT services will run until 11.50 PM, ensuring you don’t get stranded in post-show chaos.

If you’re driving, prepare for limited parking. The National Hockey Stadium’s parking field has only 150 spots, so arriving early is key. Alternatively, Parking Lots A, B, and C near Bukit Jalil National Stadium provide over 2,000 spaces combined. Fees range from RM10 to RM20 and can be paid via debit/credit card or Touch’n Go.
Here are the number of available lots for each car park:

National Hockey Stadium Parking Field: 150 lots
Parking Lot A: 150 lots
Parking Lot B: 907 lots
Parking Lot C: 1,020 lots
Pro tip: Avoid the hassle by parking at Awan Besar LRT station and taking the train—it’s only two stops away and saves you from post-concert gridlock.
What to pack and leave behind

Packing wisely can make or break your concert experience. Bringing too much slows you down at security, while bringing too little might leave you unprepared. While official venue rules haven’t been confirmed, past concerts at the stadium give us a good idea of what’s allowed and prohibited.
