SHAH ALAM – Several international activists from the Global Sumud Flotilla who were released after being detained by Israel revealed that Zionist security forces had humiliated and physically mistreated renowned climate activist Greta Thunberg.

Turkish journalist Ersin Celik, who joined the humanitarian mission to Gaza, told international media that he personally witnessed Thunberg being abused by Israeli forces.

He said the activist was dragged on the ground and forced to kiss the Israeli flag.

A total of 134 activists deported from Israel arrived in Istanbul on Saturday, including 36 Turkish nationals, as well as activists from Malaysia, the United States, Italy, Kuwait, Switzerland, Tunisia, Libya, Jordan and several other countries.

Meanwhile, Malaysian activist Hazwani Helmi confirmed the same account, adding that Thunberg was forced to walk while being paraded with the Israeli flag.

“It was truly horrible. They treated us like animals. The detainees were denied food, clean wate and medicine,” she said.

American volunteer Windfield Beaver said Thunberg was treated extremely harshly and used as Israeli propaganda.

Italian journalist Lorenzo Agostino also supported these claims, stating that Thunberg was humiliated, wrapped in the Israeli flag and displayed like a trophy.
