KOTA KINABALU: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, also Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) chairman, said seat negotiations between GRS and Pakatan Harapan (PH) are nearly complete, with only one or two constituencies left to finalise.

He told reporters after launching the GRS election machinery at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) on Sunday that discussions were smooth and cooperative, denying claims of internal friction between the coalitions.

Hajiji said both GRS and PH have demonstrated unity and coordination ahead of the 17th Sabah Election, with each division operating its own well-established election machinery.

He urged all GRS members to intensify ground efforts and engage voters directly, stressing that victory depends on discipline, teamwork, and commitment from every level.

On reports of attempts to lure candidates to defect, Hajiji said he was unaware of any such cases and downplayed remarks made by Sabah Umno chief Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin, saying he preferred to stay focused on GRS’s preparations.
