Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola says there's more to his team than Erling Haaland.
Guardiola was yesterday asked about comparisons between Haaland and his former Barcelona star Lionel Messi, now of PSG.
But he said: "Nothing is comparable. People talk about Erling [Haaland] and Leo [Messi] I don't think that helps either of them. How many new Messis have come into the world of football since Messi started? 10? 15? Failed all the time.
"Erling has to make his own career, his own work. He is a different player.
"Out of 50 questions, 45 are about Erling, in each conference. For me it's ok. But luckily the players here accept that perfectly. Some wouldn't like it. Guys who won four Premier League titles, who fought for every title, and the questions are about Erling, Erling, Erling... At other clubs, other players wouldn't like it. Here they are amazed. Kevin [De Bruyne] is an exceptional person and he is happy to have Haaland, because they both know that one can help the other to improve.
"That goes for everyone. We don't have players thinking 'oh, why do people only talk about Haaland?'. In many clubs this happens. That's why it's a joy to train these types of players."
