The Gurugram traffic police issued challans to a total of 514 vehicles found using illegal black films and fines amounting to Rs 51.40 lakh were imposed in the last 22 days.
The traffic police conducted a special enforcement drive against vehicles violating black film regulations from May 1 to May 22. A senior police officer said that the objective of the Gurugram traffic police is to ensure transparency on roads and maintain effective control over criminal activities. The use of black films on vehicle windows is not only a violation of traffic rules but can also create law and order concerns.
Gurugram police appeals to the public not to use black films on their vehicles and to comply with the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act. By following the rules, citizens not only ensure their own safety but also contribute towards maintaining law and order in society.
“The Gurugram traffic police will continue to carry out such special enforcement drives in the future as well,” said the official.
