England striker Jude Bellingham admitted it’s “gutting” to see the defeat to Argentina after their 2-1 loss ended hopes of reaching the World Cup 2026 final.
He said he wanted to be a part of the England squad “that’d finally done it” and won the tournament this year, as England’s only win was in 1966.
The midfielder said he wished he could “give more.”
“I wish I could give more, one more win or two more wins,” he told the BBC.
England led for most of the match, with Anthony Gordon scoring first, before Argentina made a late comeback to book their place in the final.
