
KOTA BELUD: The Gatul Wfighter FC (GWF FC) team from Papar emerged as the champions of the Kota Belud Open 9-a-side Football Championship beating the Pyramid team from Kota Belud 1-0 in the final that took place at the Kampung Pantai Emas Youth Field, here on Saturday.
GWF FC took home RM1,000 in cash, a trophy and medals as champions while runners-up Pyramid received a cash prize of RM700, a trophy and medals.
AdvertisementKasuka FC and JR FC both from Kota Belud took third and fourth places respectively and received cash of RM500 and RM300.
GWF FC’s Ester James was crowned the best player while Kasuka FC’s Nur Syaffiah Hanania Hamsah and Zaheera Qhalisha were the best goalkeeper and top scorer respectively.
