Kota Kinabalu: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor received a courtesy call from the Malaysian Ambassador to the Republic of Croatia, Kennedy Mayong Onon, at his office in Menara Kinabalu, here, Tuesday.

Kennedy Mayong, from Sabah, received a certificate as the Head of Malaysian Representation abroad from the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah ibni Almarhum Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta’in Billah, on June 15, 2021.

“Not many Sabahans are appointed ambassadors. I am proud that this Tuaran-born has been entrusted with the task of being the Malaysian Ambassador to the Republic of Croatia. I hope more qualified Sabahans will be appointed to such positions in the future,” he said.

Apart from Kennedy, another Sabahan who was appointed to the position is Francisco Munis from Papar as the Malaysian Ambassador to Hungary.
