Kota Kinabalu: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Haji Noor today launched Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (Gagasan Rakyat), which he said will strengthen Gabungan Rakyat Sabah’s (GRS) image as a local political coalition with a local agenda.

He said Gagasan Rakyat as a platform for "Solidarity of the Voice of Sabah" will enhance unity in the multi-racial community that supports the Sayangi Sabah agenda which is the foundation of GRS with Sabah First, Sabah Forward, Sabah Prosper and Sabah United as the thrusts of its struggle.

He is confident that solidarity will make Sabah's voice stronger and more effective.

“We are strong when we are united. We will be respected if we are strong and united,” he said.

"The GRS agreement is not only important for us in Sabah, but also very meaningful to build unity and strength in ensuring Sabah's interests continue to be defended in the Federation of Malaysia.”

Hajiji, who is also President of the Gagasan Rakyat and Chairman of GRS, officially launched Gagasan Rakyat at the Sabah International Convention Centre, here, today.
