KIULU: Caretaker Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor said a GRS-led government is essential to maintain political stability and sustain Sabah’s development momentum.

Speaking at a meet-the-people session here on Monday, he stressed that stable ties with the Federal Government are necessary for Sabah to implement its long-term plans without compromising on state rights.

Hajiji dismissed opposition claims that Putrajaya was “taking everything” from Sabah, saying he had remained firm in all negotiations on state matters.

He argued that it was the opposition, not GRS, that had failed to govern effectively, noting their short two-year stint in power.

With four days left before polling, he urged voters to choose continuity so that the achievements under Sabah Maju Jaya can carry on for the next five years.
