KOTA KINABALU: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor has reminded Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (Gagasan Rakyat) leaders at all levels to work hard to ensure victory for Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) and its ally Pakatan Harapan (PH) in the upcoming 17th State Election.
He said full cooperation from divisional and grassroots leaders is crucial for GRS to return to power, especially amid growing challenges from the opposition spreading misinformation to discredit the government.
Hajiji, who is also Gagasan Rakyat president and GRS chairman, urged all party leaders to prioritise unity, compromise, and discipline in supporting the candidates chosen by both GRS and PH.
He reaffirmed his confidence that the coalition’s strong groundwork and solidarity would help it secure another mandate, adding that GRS’s election machinery would be officially launched in mid-October.
Hajiji also pointed to the coalition government’s achievements over the past five years, including higher state revenue and increased participation of Sabah-based companies in the oil and gas industry, while criticising the opposition for denying these successes.
