Kota Kinabalu: Han Long Taekwondo Club will be sending 10 athletes to participate in the 13th TM (WTF)-MSN-Milo National Taekwondo Championship to be held at the Malaysian Olympic Council Arena Indoor Stadium starting tomorrow (February 18) .
The club is one of the seven selected by Sabah Taekwondo Association to represent the state in the two-day competition organised by Taekwondo Malaysia Federation.
Han Loong Taekwondo Club’s president Roger Chaw said no target was set but the athletes are urged to give their best and try to win medals of any colour.
“We have prepared as best as we can. Hopefully our efforts will produce something and win at least a medal for Sabah,” he said on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the contingent is led by coaches Liew Chee Ming and Alex Emmanuel Siaw . The athletes are Rouel Dangin, Hans Zachary, Randal Tan Chee Wah and Muhammad Abdul Farish who will be competing in the men’s category while the female athletes are Nur Haszarratul Heerwin, Rachel Liew Pei Nie, Izzyayumi Farahatira, Sonia Aishah, Angela Merici Bryne and Nurfasha Amyza.
