Hannah Spencer hits back at critics who slammed Green MP’s ‘designer shirt’

Hannah Spencer has revealed that an “expensive designer shirt” she wore in parliament is in fact from a charity shop.

Earlier this week, the Green MP was criticised by some social media users for wearing a “£1,500 Gucci silk shirt” to PMQs while making a jab at Reform UK.

In an Instagram video posted on Friday (12 June), Ms Spencer revealed that she purchased the shirt from Oxfam 15 years ago and is from the brand Costa Brava, she explained as she held up the label.

“Jesus is out there turning water into wine,” she said. “But hun, I’m out here turning charity shop finds into designer clobber.”
