Route 77 Harley-Davidson of Kuala Lumpur has officially partnered with the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) to initiate a comprehensive Proof of Concept (POC) evaluation program, supplying three distinct Harley-Davidson motorcycles to the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT).

The official handover ceremony took place at the Route 77 Harley-Davidson flagship showroom along Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur. Route 77 representatives Datuk Omar Ali Abdullah, Larry Yap Eng Keong, and Juan Chow Wee formally presented the machines to senior PDRM and JSPT leadership.

The evaluation program runs without financial obligation or immediate procurement commitments, serving strictly as an operational assessment to explore how modern heavyweight motorcycle platforms align with evolving traffic policing and VIP escort duties.

Three Distinct Platforms: Low Rider ST, Street Glide, and Pan America

To give traffic enforcement officers a broad assessment spectrum, the three loaned motorcycles span very different design architectures and performance envelopes within the Harley-Davidson lineup:

• Harley-Davidson Low Rider ST: Represents the sport-touring cruiser segment, pairing nimble handling dynamics and a frame-mounted fairing with high-torque cruising capability suited for rapid response.

According to JSPT leadership, the real-world operational pressures of LTDL 2026 offer valuable telemetry and direct rider feedback under authentic operating conditions, well beyond standard controlled testing grounds. The findings will help JSPT benchmark modern powertrain characteristics and chassis technology against its future fleet requirements.
