The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will travel to Australia in April for a series of engagements, leaving their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet at home.

LONDON: Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, will visit Australia next month for a series of private, business, and philanthropic engagements.

A spokesman for the couple confirmed the trip would take place in mid-April, stating that further details would be shared in due course.

The Sussexes last visited Australia on an official royal tour in 2018, shortly after their wedding and the announcement of Meghan’s pregnancy with Prince Archie.

Their upcoming visit follows a recent two-day trip to Jordan, undertaken at the invitation of the World Health Organisation’s director-general Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.

During that visit, the couple comforted young cancer patients at the King Hussein Cancer Centre and met with staff from World Central Kitchen coordinating food relief for Gaza from Amman.

Prince Harry also addressed a group at the National Centre for Rehabilitation of Addicts, telling them, “There’s no shame in having an addiction.”

The couple, who stepped back from royal duties in 2020, also participated in a WHO-hosted discussion with UN agency representatives, diplomats, and donors.
