Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl praised his forwards after their narrow loss to Manchester United, but admitted transfer work is necessary.
The Austrian spoke after the Saints were unable to turn pressure into goals to equalize against United in the Premier League contest on Saturday.
After the 1-0 loss at home, Hasenhuttl admitted his team needs to sign attackers before the transfer window closes.
He told beIN Sports: "I'm confident. We know what we are looking at."
"We have to look at a very good team performance today, the only thing that was missing was the final goal and this was a little bit disappointing today," Hasenhuttl added.
"But the rest was good. We created a lot of chances today and this was absolutely good work from the guys up front.
"Che (Adams) did a good job and Arma (Adam Armstrong) was good. We tried really hard but no final goal today."
Asked if he knew of a timeframe for a new attacker signing, he finished: "Not yet."
