Portugal superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has laughed off rumours of fitness problems as Portugal jetted to North America for the World Cup.
The 41-year old was quoted by ESPN on Friday as saying: "Physically? I'm fine - have you not seen my matches?"
Ronaldo is happy with his team's preparations for their tournament opener against the Democratic Republic of the Congo on Wednesday.
"It has been good but tiring because we've worked hard," he said.
"We've had the upper hand in our (warm-up) matches, but what matters most is when the ball starts rolling on the 17th, in the first game, and then when the pressure really starts to mount - that's when we'll see the true champions."
Ronaldo, who is hoping for his first World Cup title on his record-equalling sixth visit to a tournament, failed to score in friendly wins against Chile and Nigeria.
Portugal are one of the strongest football nations never to have won the men's World Cup.
