The PGA Championship has definitely stepped out of the shadows this year, with 29 other players going into the final round at Aronimink within five shots of leader Alex Smalley.
The Philadelphia venue has provided a fantastic test over the last three days. And while some players have been less than impressed by the set-up, it has certainly set the stage for an incredibly exciting finale.
In fact, there is a real chance of a playoff taking place on Sunday evening – much like there was at Whistling Straits nearly 22 years ago.
The golfer who broke the PGA Championship record for the highest final round score by a winner
Heading into the final round in Wisconsin in 2004, it looked highly likely that either Vijay Singh or Justin Leonard would get their hands on the last major trophy of the year.
Singh was one shot ahead of Leonard, while the chasing pack were a further four shots behind.

It is fair to say that neither player looked the most convincing on Sunday. Both men particularly struggled with the putter during the last round.
In fact, Singh did not make a single birdie on Sunday as he went on to post a 76. With Leonard going one shot better with a 75, they ended up in a playoff. Chris DiMarco joined them with a 71.
Paul McGinley was the only player in the top 10 who managed to break 70 on Sunday.
Vijay Singh did not make a single birdie in the last round on his way to PGA Championship glory
While Singh did not make a birdie in the last round, he did manage to produce one on the first additional hole. In fact, that proved to be the only birdie from any of the three players over the three-hole playoff.
It ensured that Singh won his third major title, his second at the PGA Championship.
Meanwhile, his 76 on Sunday was the highest final round score of any player who had gone on to win the event.
You would imagine that those with their sights set on glory at Aronimink will need to be at least 10 shots better if they are going to get their hands on the Wanamaker Trophy in a few hours.
