Bud Cauley has officially removed his name from one of the most unwanted lists in golf after winning the RBC Canadian Open.

With a 17-under 263, Cauley claimed a two-shot victory at TPC Toronto for his first career win on the PGA Tour.

The American won on his 239th career start, before which he was ranked fifth among active players with the most starts without a win.

Cauley has now finally emerged victorious and removed his name from that unwanted PGA Tour list, which is topped by Patrick Rodgers.

Patrick Rodgers has zero wins from 330 PGA Tour starts

From his 330 starts on the PGA Tour, 33-year-old American Rodgers has yet to claim a win.

The figure places him comfortably ahead of Mark Hubbard in second with 277, followed by Beau Hossler in third with 245.

Sam Ryder is fourth in the unwanted list with 240, with Cauley now no longer in fifth place thanks to his success in Toronto.

It’s an unfortunate position to be in for Rodgers, who has finished as runner-up four times throughout his career.

Patrick Rodgers’ PGA Tour history

Rodgers has indeed come agonizingly close to winning on the PGA Tour over the years, having lost twice in playoffs.

He was beaten by Charles Howell III at The RSM Classic in 2019, and suffered the same fate against Akshay Bhatia at the 2023 Barracuda Championship.

Rodgers has also finished third five times, and has 15 top fives, 31 top 10s and 81 top 25s to his name.

He has made 208 of 330 cuts, earning $20,714,284 on the PGA Tour since joining in 2015.

Rodgers has certainly been busy in 2026, where he has made 18 starts and claimed his best result by finishing third at the Sony Open at the very start of the season.

The US Open immediately follows the RBC Canadian Open in the PGA Tour schedule, with Shinnecock Hills playing host to the major championship.
