KUALA LUMPUR — National sprinter Muhammad Azeem Mohd Fahmi made headlines once again after helping Auburn University’s 4x100 metres (m) relay team secure victory at the 2025 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Track and Field Championships.

Azeem teamed up with Kayinsola Ajayi, Dario Matau and Makanakaishe Charamba to deliver a dynamic performance, clinching the title in 38.33 seconds (s), Bernama reported.

The University of Southern California (USC) finished second with a time of 38.46s, while Louisiana State University (LSU) took third place in 38.56s.

Earlier in the semi-finals on Wednesday, the Auburn quartet had clocked a blistering 37.97s to qualify for the final.

For the record, Azeem had also played a key role in helping Auburn win the same event at the 2024 championships. — June 14, 2025
