RANAU: Heavy rain on Thursday afternoon washed mud and rocks onto roads around Kampung Mohimboyon and Kampung Lipantai, endangering motorists.
The Karanaan Community Development Leaders Unit (UPPM) urged motorists using the Kibbas–Tambiau and Mohimboyon–Kundasang Lama routes to avoid unsafe stretches, refrain from crossing active mudflows, and follow authorities’ instructions.
The unit said the Ranau Public Works Department (PWD) had been notified and has directed the concessionaire and contractors to take immediate action.
