
PETALING JAYA: HeiTech Padu Bhd director Datuk Sandraruben A/L Neelamagham acquired 827,000 shares in the company through open-market transactions last Thursday and Friday for about RM833,400.
According to a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, Sandraruben bought 307,100 shares at 94.3 sen each on Sept 3, followed by another 519,900 shares at RM1.046 apiece on Sept 4.
Following the purchases, his direct stake in the information technology services company increased to 2.13 million shares, or 1.305%, from 1.3 million shares, or about 0.798%.
The purchases came following a sharp decline in HeiTech Padu’s share price on Aug 28, when Bursa Malaysia issued an unusual market activity (UMA) query to the company.
HeiTech Padu had said it was not aware of any corporate development, rumour or report concerning its affairs that had not been announced, or any other possible explanation for the unusual market activity.
The company had also reported a sharp decline in quarterly earnings. Its net profit for the second quarter ended June 30, 2026 fell 99% to RM70,000 from RM7.11 million a year earlier, despite revenue nearly doubling to RM165.68 million from RM84.52 million.
For the six months ended June 30, net profit fell 86% to RM2.52 million from RM17.98 million, while revenue increased 66% to RM255.47 million from RM153.74 million.
