Kota Kinabalu: Twenty years ago, in 2004, the Malaysian government had taken the step to increase the number of women in leadership and decision-making by introducing the policy of 30 per cent women in the decision-making process in the Public Sector.
However, this decision was presented as a simple statement, without any detailed explanation or any strategic execution plan.
The government just announced: “The government agreed to implement a policy of at least 30 per cent women at the decision-making level in the public sector.”
