Departing Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson held talks with England coach Gareth Southgate this morning.
With terms agreed with Al-Ettifaq, Henderson wanted assurances from Southgate that the move to the Saudi Pro League won't effect his England place.
Henderson is eager to be part of England's Euros squad next year.
The midfielder passed his Al-Ettifaq medical on Friday after agreeing terms over a deal worth 700,000-a-week. Liverpool have also accepted a 12m offer from the Saudis.
Along with Southgate, Henderson also spoke to Reds manager Jurgen Klopp on Monday as he prepared his farewell.
